Llantrisant RFC Under 10s were delighted when Wales, Blues & Llantrisant star Scott Andrews dropped by to help them with the new skill area this year, Rucking.
Scott did a great job motivating the players, answering questions and giving them tips on the tackle area. The number 1 question asked of Scott was "who is going to win on Saturday - Wales or England".....Scott of course picked Wales. (if we loose we know who to blame) From everyone at the club, many thanks to Scott (and the Cardiff Blues) for being so great with the kids and giving up his time to help the community A massive well done to Llantrisant U8s who remained unbeaten during the Pontyclun Festival today.

This was the last part of the pre-season training, working on speed and power. All the players worked on a circuit of exercises and tested their speed with the infra-red speed gates. It was a great experience for the kids to train at such a great facility and we are extremely grateful to Cardiff Met, Dai Watts and team for their enthusiasm and expertise. Last Thursday we had our new player sign-up event and we were delighted with a really great training session with Scott Andrews.

The tournament was very competitive with Llantrisant winning the tournament on points difference.
Well done to all the players and coaches for a great effort at the end of a long season. All good things have to come to an end. The Black Army 2014 / 2015 season has been a great one. We've all worked hard and enjoyed the rewards. We finished the season off with our presentation night party. We were delighted to have British Lion Gethin Jenkins and Wales, Cardiff Blues and Llantrisant RFC's Scott Andrews give out the trophies. A really good night was had by all and the players really enjoyed themselves, with some interesting dancing moves being displayed. Looking forward to next season. |
